Ronaldo Meets New Al-Nassr Boss Postecoglou

Cristiano Ronaldo has come face to face with Al-Nassr’s newly appointed manager, Ange Postecoglou, following the Australian’s confirmation as the club’s next head coach in Saudi Arabia.

A Fresh Start After Jesus’s Departure

Postecoglou steps into the role left vacant by Jorge Jesus, who guided Al-Nassr to last season’s Saudi Pro League crown before moving on to take charge of the Portugal national team — the same squad captained by Ronaldo. For Postecoglou, the appointment marks a return to management roughly eight months after his brief and turbulent spell at Nottingham Forest, where he was dismissed after just 39 days in charge. He has now agreed to a two-year contract to lead Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates.

Ronaldo Cuts Holiday Short to Attend Club Duties

The meeting between player and manager was captured by Al-Nassr’s social media team, who shared images of the pair sharing a warm embrace as Postecoglou settled into his new post. Ronaldo had been holidaying in Mallorca with his wife and children after Portugal’s exit from the World Cup, where they were knocked out by eventual champions Spain in the round of 16 nearly a month earlier. Despite still being on break, Ronaldo made time to attend Al-Nassr’s pre-season friendly against Almeria, signaling his early buy-in to the new managerial era as the club prepares for the season ahead under its fresh leadership.
