TikTok Launches Season 2 of ‘In The Mix’ Music Podcast
TikTok has unveiled the second season of its “In The Mix” live podcast interview series, produced in partnership with T-Mobile. The four-episode run features exclusive conversations with musicians Bebe Rexha, Lykke Li, Malcolm Todd, and Josh Groban, hosted once again by Jack Coyne of Trackstar. The series aims to give fans a deeper, more personal connection to the artists they follow, celebrating TikTok’s growing role in music discovery and artist storytelling.
A Shorter But Star-Studded Return
The first season, launched in December 2025, comprised 10 episodes featuring a wide range of high-profile musicians. While Season 2 is a more compact offering, it makes up for its brevity with a strong lineup. Each episode promises an inside look at the music, stories, and creative inspirations defining each artist’s latest chapter.
TikTok’s influence on the music industry continues to grow at a striking pace. Research conducted in partnership with Luminate found that U.S. TikTok users are 74% more likely to discover and share new music on the platform compared to the average short-form video user. Remarkably, 84% of songs that reached the Billboard 200 in 2024 had first gained traction on TikTok.
Reshaping How Music Gets Made
The platform’s reach is now influencing decisions behind the scenes as well. According to Rolling Stone, some record label executives are even renaming artists’ tracks to better align with TikTok trends — a clear sign of the app’s commercial power.
With initiatives like “In The Mix,” TikTok is cementing its position not just as a discovery engine, but as a full storytelling platform for the modern music industry.
