Sandra Lee said test results from a specialized clinic showed “the hormone is non-existent!”
“It was a great reminder to be your advocate and ask questions. Sandra Lee wrote on Instagram after a trip to Germany for “self-health week.”
After starting her “single wellness week” in Baden-Baden, a German city known. As a popular wellness destination with world-class medical professionals and clinics, Sandra Lee renewed her following.
The 56-year-old Food Network star revealed on Instagram that most of his blood tests came back with minimal problems. However, she said her hormones were “basically non-existent,” deficient estrogen levels.
“Doctors in America have prescribed me an estrogen hormone patch to increase my levels. And I’ve learned that for the four months I’ve been wearing the patch, it has done nothing – plus ointment twice a day, Lee began.
“Next is progesterone, an essential hormone to protect cells, especially from cancer.
I know my numbers are low, and today I measure the same values as before surgery in March,” she wrote, referring to her hysterectomy. “It is essential to replace this hormone, and for me. It works in tandem with estrogen but in the United States, I was told I didn’t need progesterone!!!!!????!!!!!”
“Eventually, my good bacteria were gone, so I took two antibiotics for it – in Germany. They prescribe herbal combinations and stop multi-prescription – after that, I felt perfect,” Lee continued. “If you shouldn’t be taking any prescription medication, then you shouldn’t be taking it, especially for a long period,” he wrote.
The ‘Semi-Home Cooking with Sandra Lee’ star shared a photo of her test results and said she would have her blood checked again in 6 weeks. When she returns to Los Angeles and will send the results back to Baden-Baden for further testing.
“Anything is better than feeling tired, nervous, and emotional AND not being able to concentrate,” says Lee. “I also have to be a pure vegetarian for a few weeks, But I try steak for iron which is reportedly low. So I had to start lifting weights – not just cardio PLUS more vitamins.”
